We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act (databeskyttelsesloven). Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
Visiting the website and hosting
save-up.dk is delivered via the platform of Vercel Inc. (USA); the server functions run in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. When you open a page, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the previous page, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the pages and to fend off attacks. The logs are kept only briefly. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and local storage
For the site to work, we store:
- Cookie “gdpr”: remembers for one year that you closed the cookie notice or objected to Google Analytics.
- Local storage “su-rueck-…”: remembers in your browser how you answered “Did the code work?”, so that we do not ask you again.
These are strictly necessary for the functions you use (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, regulation 6). You can delete both at any time in your browser settings.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand which pages are used and to improve save-up.dk. Advertising features and personalised advertising are switched off.
Google Analytics sets cookies (for example “_ga”, lasting up to two years) and processes information about the pages viewed, your device and browser and your approximate location. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in analysing and improving our service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time with effect for the future: Disable Google Analytics in this browser.
Ratings and “Did the code work?”
If you rate a shop with stars or tell us after opening a voucher code whether it worked, we store the shop page, your rating or answer, the voucher code concerned and the time. So that repeated answers from the same connection count only once a day, we create a key from your IP address and the date that cannot be reversed and changes daily. We do not store your IP address itself. Answers from the last 90 days produce the line “Last worked … days ago” on the page. The data is held by Supabase Inc. (USA) as our processor. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable information about voucher codes (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Links to shops and affiliate programmes
When you click on a voucher code or a link to a shop, you leave save-up.dk. Many of these links run through affiliate networks such as Awin, Tradedoubler, Webgains, CJ or Adtraction. The network and the shop may set cookies or identifiers to attribute a purchase to our link. The network and the shop are responsible for this themselves; details are in their privacy policies. We only receive information about the commission, which does not allow us to identify you personally.
Transfers to the USA
Vercel, Supabase and Google may process data in the USA. The basis is the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, otherwise the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise them, write to us at traffic@etaktiker.ch.
